2024: A Year of Record Growth
KnitMesh Technologies had a remarkable year in 2024, marked by record growth and increasing industry leadership. Achieving a fourth consecutive year of growth, the company experienced a surge in demand across all markets, including the hydrogen production and electrolysis industries. KnitMesh Technologies’ latest knitted wire mesh innovations have helped to drive the growth.
Additionally, KnitMesh Technologies made significant strides by developing its Mist Eliminator business, successfully growing in the oil and gas, chemical, and power generation sectors. The company’s new developments, based on a long history of supply to this industry, proved a success with both new and established customers.
In line with their growth trajectory, KnitMesh Technologies expanded its production capabilities by investing in additional factory space, storage space, and new state-of-the-art equipment. The company acquired the world’s largest wire knitting machine and a new laser cutter, enhancing precision and efficiency in manufacturing knitted wire mesh products for the hydrogen production and electrolysis industries.
A strategic move was made with a substantial investment in the Indian plant, KnitMesh Technologies Pvt. Ltd., to strengthen global presence and better serve the Indian manufacturing sector.
The company also focused on investing in talent. Among the notable hires was Rajinda Rajapura, an Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduate from the University of Bolton, who joined as a Plant Engineer. Rajinda added to the growing engineering team’s skill set by taking on tasks ranging from repair and maintenance to automation. Daz Ainslie also joined as a Team Leader, overseeing various production areas, while Lindsay Gray assumed the role of HR Manager, implementing impactful employee-centric initiatives.
The team also exhibited at prestigious trade shows, including the World Electrolysis Congress in Cologne and the Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe in Hamburg, Germany. These exhibitions helped the business open doors to new sales opportunities and also helped reinforce connections with existing customers.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Looking ahead to 2025, KnitMesh Technologies is poised for continued growth and further expansion. With a substantial order book in the pipeline, the company is set to solidify its position as a leader in the global market for knitted wire mesh.

Set to be unveiled in May, the company is also working on a database for specialist knitted wire mesh designs for electrolysers.
Further investments are planned for KnitMesh Technologies in the United Kingdom and India, with ongoing efforts to enhance manufacturing capabilities, the development of new products, and to support employee growth through education and apprenticeship programmes. The company is also actively recruiting for new positions, including a Quality Engineer, to strengthen the team.
