KnitMesh Technologies’ PyroCore® Pyrotechnic Actuator Mesh is a high-performance knitted wire mesh designed for gas-flow control, filtration, and heat management in pyrotechnic and safety-critical systems. It is used across automotive, aerospace, defence, and industrial applications where reliable, repeatable actuation is required.
When the system actuates, the knitted wire mesh regulates the shock wave, reduces temperature peaks, and captures solid particles to protect surrounding components.The strong, heat-resistant structure withstands shock and vibration and can be manufactured from multiple grades of stainless steel for corrosion resistance and recyclability. Other high-temperature materials are available on request.
PyroCore® knitted wire mesh can be produced in a wide range of mesh densities to control flow regulation and filtration efficiency. Components can be supplied as bespoke mesh parts or as fully assembled sub-assemblies ready for installation, with production scalable from prototypes to automated high-volume manufacturing.
